Dec 19th, 2022: Light Overcomes Darkness

My son told this to Santa Claus when he was about six years old in Santa Fe, NM: "You are a Big Fat Fake". We were at a street corner waiting for the light to turn green. He somehow learned that myth about Santa Claus.

What other myths do we believe about Christmas? Jesus came into the world to deal with ungodly human desires. We celebrate His birth by getting stressed about other "human desires". Somehow we have forgotten the most important gift. We cannot be for Christmas and question the need for Easter.

"Light displays have become a significant aspect of Christmas celebrations. Let us celebrate "the true light that shines in darkness, and darkness has not overcome it." - John 1: 5
