Dec 16th, 2022: Christmas and Our Freedom

 

This picture tells us that we have not changed much regarding our preoccupation with ourselves. We can easily ignore others and live in our own world.

Christmas is the time to remember how God has engaged us in our world. He chose to be one among us so we could be free from ourselves. He shows us how He can deliver us from our self-imposed slavery.

If we are honest with our human conditions, we realize how different forms of slavery have defined us. We have gotten confused between freedom and the indulgence of slavery. Christmas is the beginning of how God has set us free.

Galatians 5: 1

"For freedom, Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."
