Dec 12th, 2022: Loving Sacrifice

Having an early morning breakfast with a whole bunch of boys and their parents before a hockey tournament helped me understand the sacrifices parents have to make. It is indeed an expensive sport.

Taking time to reflect t over the Christmas story has also reminded me of the sacrifices God has to endure. God won't take away our free choice, so He has covered the cost of our deaths by bringing Jesus into the world.

These parents went to the local rink to cheer their kids on after that. God is delighted whenever we score against evil by going about life according to His game plan.

We should not worry about how hard life can be. God will defeat evil. The cunning of this world is simply a futile exercise of attempting to find meaning in godlessness.

Galatians 4: 4-5

"But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons."
