Nov 6th, 2022: The Meaning of Work

Someone asked me recently about my plan for retirement.

My answer was: " I will keep going as long as I can make a difference."

Work for me is a privilege to participate with God in His ongoing creation.

Somehow we will be able to see the evidence of His redemption.

It is not always easy, and sometimes it can be painful.

We become more aware of God's presence when things are stressful.

It is a daily acknowledgment of God's purposes and plans.

We can look at things beyond our lifespan.

Our views of the world become both more exciting and overwhelming.

Work takes on a different meaning.

Our search for meaning defines the purpose of our work.

Listening to God becomes our daily walk.

There is no need to stop having a conversation with God.

Retirement might just be a reassignment spot.

Colossians 3:23

"Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters."
