Nov 10th, 2022: God is Our Comfort
It snows all day.
I am thinking about where to stay.
The drive has been a challenge.
I thought about canceling the trip, and the thought of wanting to stay home was evident.
Parents of a teenage daughter want to see me.
They need to talk through things for her court date; so they know how to be.
Her father is angry and needs someone to calm him down.
He blames himself for not being around.
They know the offender.
That makes it harder.
She wants to be free from his horrible act.
She wants to dream and believes her life is intact.
I was able to overcome the challenges of the snowy and stormy weather.
She will overcome the damage of an emotional storm further.
An evil act might distract us from where we need to go.
God's faithfulness provides needed correction, so we know.
2 Corinthians 1: 3
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
