Oct 15th, 2022 Why Do I Pray?

 

Why do I pray?

I have nothing else to say.

Why do I pray?

There are evil forces that have been keeping me at bay.

Why do I pray?

Much of life seems to be in disarray.

Why do I pray?

My heart is dismayed.

Why do I pray?

I long for God's presence to stay.

Why do I pray?

My debt of death has been paid.

Why do I pray?

I want God to keep evil away.

Why do I pray?

I desire God to have His way.

Why do I pray?

I long to see godliness displayed.

Why do I pray?

I learn to marvel at life day by day.

Why do I pray?

I long for a rest this night as I lay.

Why do I pray?

Jesus is whom He says.

"You have searched me, LORD, and You know me.You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.Before a word is on my tongue You, LORD, know it completely."
