Sept 13th, 2022: Facing the Truth
Sometimes we don't want to face the truth.
It is uncomfortable and uneasy dealing with it all, we conclude.
We hide behind the organizational structure to avoid needed conversations.
We talk about privacy and reservation.
What we are going to miss is a chance to discover what we are facing.
We will all lose if we practice effacing.
Sometimes we need to go beyond what is proper.
People lie to one another by telling half truth and being flip-floppers.
Our inability to face the truth allows narcissistic behavior to prosper.
It takes courage and perseverance to be a stopper.
We have preachers who lied and cried on the pulpits.
There is no freedom when we put truth under bandits.
Jesus healed on the sabbath to expose the hypocrisy of religious people.
It is time for us to seek true freedom by being open and vulnerable.
"Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness." - Romans 10: 3
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people." - 2 Timothy 3: 1-5
