Sept 10th, 2022: Mediocrity
Flying is no longer glamorous.
Long waiting lines and all kinds of paperwork make the experience strenuous.
I was selected for a random security check this week.
I complied, but I questioned the security officer's technique.
He went through my bag and touched my spare masks with dirty gloves.
I mentioned that to him quietly that is not where his hand goes.
He looked at me as if he didn't do anything wrong.
Wear a mask to keep others safe while his hands were where they didn't belong.
Why do we use Covid 19 as an excuse for non-acceptable performance?
Somehow this virus has made mediocrity less abhorrent.
Covid might impact our ways of life more than we know.
We should not let it make us less than we can be about tomorrow.
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life." - Proverbs 4: 23
