Aug 8th, 2022: Life and Death While Facing a New Day

Today is a new day.
Let us begin with what God has to say.

Isaiah 43:18-19
"Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert."

God does not want us to remember the sin of our past.
His forgiveness erases our shame and self-condemnation. His love will last.

God is doing a new thing in our lives daily.
We only look back so we can look ahead graciously.

He wants us to move forward in life with Him.
Every day is one more step in the new beginning.

How can we perceive it?
We learn how to live not just for ourselves but for many others to whom we commit.

So death has many shapes and forms.
The deaths of our selfishness and our self-serving attitude are some examples; we will be transformed.

We no longer wander in the wilderness of our spiritual desert.
God's spirit will come like a river and cleanses us from all our dirt.
