Aug 5th, 2022: Rights verses Responsibilities

It is my body and my right, and you have no control over it.

We say that proudly to one another while writing our life skit.

Life has much less meaning if it is only about our rights.

We have forgone what life can be with greater insight.

There is no isolation in our actions.

It brings either affirmation or condemnation.

We never mean to live in the tower of our individual rights alone.

We need to belong to a community of our own.

Human right is about the protection of human dignity.

It never means to damage the beginning of human sanctity.

We would further our rights a lot more by embracing our responsibilities.

It is the needed balance in the world of absurdity.

We need to have the freedom to go beyond our rights.

So we might discover the light in the darkness of the night.

Jesus is that very light.

When we choose to live without it, we can only experience an unending fright.
