Aug 24th, 2022: Be Aware of The Trap

I have encountered more and more people who are vegans. Some have chosen that diet for health reasons; others have done that for personal convictions. Some are more fanatic than others. Personally, I enjoy a well-cooked meal regardless of its cultural heritage or personal leaning. A friend of mine even got me a vegan birthday cake this year. My name was misspelled through :(.

Personal conviction is crucial in the act of living. When we live without one, we likely won't make a difference. It is safe to coast through life and choose the path of least resistance because we don't want to offend someone. When we take a moral position or have a conviction, we will offend some people. Having a moral conviction does not mean we have the freedom to condemn and do harm to other people.

The lesson we have learned through our experience in dealing with Covid-19 is that our governments now constantly seek more compliance. Somehow governments have got used to the idea that they have the right to take people's voices away. What the Government of Canada is doing to the farmers is utterly unacceptable. There should be conversations and discussions about the farming business in Canada. Our government has decided to ride the coattails of Covid-19 with another mandate for farmers. What's next?

I am baffled by governments who keep talking about the rights of different racial and sexual gender groups on the one hand and then exercise power the eliminate the rights of those who stand up for their faith and their moral convictions on the other hand. In the end, it is a facade about observing people's rights. It is a new form of political abuse to propagate the agenda of those who want to take away our right as Christians to have a voice.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." - Hebrews 11: 1

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness" - 2 Timothy 3: 16
