July 30th, 2022: What is Freedom?

What is freedom when we seek to serve only ourselves?

A life without regard for others as if it is under spells.

What is freedom when we think there is no consequence in our choices?

Maybe a life that considers suppressing some other voices.

What is freedom when we act as if we have the final authority over our own bodies?

Maybe a life that has no appreciation of how it came to be.

What is freedom when we fail to see beyond our own immediate concerns?

A life that has limited understanding of suffering when it is our turn.

What is freedom when we walk away from one another during challenging times?

Maybe a life that has no appreciation for meaningful sacrifices.

What freedom do we have in believing in God?

It is a life that is able to embrace His eternal plan for our lot.
