July 2nd, 2022: A Prodigal Nation

What happens to Canada presently is similar to the younger son in the Prodigal Son story (Luke 15: 11-32).

He squandered his early inheritance, and his father became his main quarry.

We have mismanaged so much of God's blessings, and we will have to face the consequences.

We have reduced our carbon footprint at home while buying from other countries who increase theirs without proper safety and environmental measurements.

We punish oil and gas producers at home while overlooking our import from abusive nations.

We say we care about the well-being of our indigenous people while allowing the violation of human rights with unfathomable dimensions.

Canada is a blessed nation, so we should be able to draw on our wealth to provide for others.

We enter a position where we will become irrelevant in the eyes of truth seekers.

We are dealing with corrupted leaders. They lied, cheated, manipulated, and abused their people.

Yet, they have no shame in preaching to us about human rights and dignity while polluting our land with their self-righteousness weasels.

It is time for us to acknowledge the blessings of God in our land.

Maybe we should prepare a farewell party for the ruling gang.

Our blessings are never about our self-importance.

We need to find ways to grow our blessings with others and repent from our arrogance as a Prodigal Nation.
