July 26th, 2022: An Example

My youngest uncle died last night.

He is now at peace after putting up a good fight.

The sky is less bright this night.

One more star fell from the sky.

He was a compassionate son to our grandmother.

He was a dutiful and respectful brother to our late father.

Life was not easy for him while growing up.

Horrible war and personal health challenges are taking away from his cup.

He never gave up and pursued excellence academically.

Poverty had to step aside when he went about his scholarship for university confidently.

His manners were always unassuming and kind.

He was never pompous even though he was very bright.

Kindness and humility exemplified his relationships.

Now I am missing his presence and quiet leadership.

Matthew 5: 13

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled by men."
