July 24th, 2022: One Body Many Shades

A young and excited carpenter shared with me about the nature of wood.

He talked about different kinds of wood and how they interact together in wooden goods.

The different hardness of wood will dictate different ways of building furniture.

Their various grains will tell us how they contract or expand further.

It is interesting to know that Jesus was also a carpenter.

He works with all kinds of people. Some of us might not want the same offer.

The Apostle Paul tells us that we are one body.

We will need to learn how to be stretched and flexible together steadily.

Different kinds of wood have their ways of revealing beautiful colors and shades.

God has also given us different beautiful gifts to embrace.

The worst thing a carpenter can do is use the wrong kind of wood for his design.

The last thing we want to do is to envy one another's talent and be out of line.

We enhance each other's gifts by nurturing ours.

Every piece of furniture will have its place in a beautiful parlor.
