July 18th, 2022: Who Are We?

Have we ever thought that every single item in our households can have a new name according to whoever uses them?

It will be a nightmare to think about what we have become.

What if a door now becomes a window?

We would have a hard time knowing what to follow.

What if a knife is now called a scissor?

We would easily cut ourselves in horror.

What if a table is now a chair?

We have no idea where and how they can be a pair.

What if a fork now is considered a pair of chopsticks?

Cross-cultural understanding of cuisine can face many layers of bricks.

What if a cell phone is now a paperweight?

We might say that is such a waste.

The idea that we can be whomever we want to be; and don't have to have the same identity daily is very troublesome.

We might never get to know who we are in this new worldview of having more than one.

Human relationships depend on our understanding of the world and ourselves.

Without that knowledge, things can be very uncertain, and we have no way to tell.

One thing is definite. God longs for our restoration.

We don't have to prove and justify ourselves. We just have to accept the invitation.

"There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." - Luke 21: 25-26

"But the wicked are like the tossing sea,

For it cannot be quiet,

And its waters toss up refuse and mud.

"There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."

" - Isaiah 57: 20-21
