July 11th, 2022: What is Hope?

What is hope in the midst of despair?
Knowing God's love helps us to bear.

What is hope when life turns so dark?
We believe in God so He can impart.

What is hope when others walk away?
Trust in God so we can find His way.

What is hope when nothing seems to make sense?
Depending on God as we search for answers at His expense.

What is hope when we are utterly broken?
Claiming our wholeness in God's compassion while knowing we are forgiven.

What is hope when life is full of lies and deceit?
We rely on God's power; so we don't get defeated.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him."
