June 20th, 2022: The Day After Father's Day

Yesterday was Father's Day.

I decided to go through my FB to see what people have to say.

One mentioned the consistent love of her father over the year.

It was about how he spends with her and the family although his job had a demanding public sphere.

One talked about his father as a role model for perseverance.

His father had gone through many trials of life with him because of his indifference.

One expressed his thankfulness that his father is still around.

He has no word to express his emotion when thinking about the day his dad heavenly bounds.

One expressed her heartfelt appreciation for her father's compassion and integrity in how he lives and relates to others.

He walks the talks and demonstrates how to embrace one another.

All of these fatherly qualities reveal to us the nature of who God is.

He is compassionate, merciful, persevering, and unchanging in the way He loves us so we should learn how to be.

Ephesians 6:4: "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."

Proverbs 1:8: "Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching."

2 Corinthians 6:18: "And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."

Psalm 103:13: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him."
