May 3rd, 2022: Walking with God

"Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him."

(Deuteronomy 8: 6)

"He has made it clear to you, mortal man, what is good and what the LORD is requiring from you— to act with justice, to treasure the LORD’s gracious love, and to walk humbly in the company of your God."

(Micah 6:8)

In my spiritual desolation, the first thing I hear from God is to walk with Him.

I have no idea what to ask him except knowing that the light of my life is dimmed.

The command we often fail by believing that we can be in control.

We don't know how to let God be God, and end up being a fool.

We lost our reverence for Him while believing that we are clever.

After all, we have been able to discover so much about His creation, we ignore the Creator.

In our mortality, we have deceived ourselves with our sense of greatness.

We say we do not need God, and somehow that does not make our lives any less.

As John Moody says: "If I walk with the world, I can’t walk with God."

Nowadays, we don't just walk with the world. We plan for a lifelong journey with that thought.

We might want to ask about the nature of our destination.

So we can discern our temptation with worldly fascination.

Humility will open the gate in our hearts to receive His grace and mercy.

We no longer live in the bunker of fear, hate, and jealousy.

I find myself in utter silence in my walk.

When God enters our hearts, there is no need to talk.
