May 27th, 2022: Keeping Track of Our Sorrows

"You keep track of all my sorrows.

You have collected all my tears in your bottle.

You have recorded each one in your book."

 

Psalm 56: 8

In the dark days of our soul,

you cry with us, and we know we are not alone.

In the anguish of the night, 

you cry with us, and we are aware of your might.

In the moments of loneliness in life,

you weep and tell us we won't need to be afraid of lies.

In our desperation of isolation,

you cry with us and show us your way of restoration. 

In our defiance against your will,

you long for us to know what it means to be still.

In our confusion of not knowing what next,   

you show your presence, so we don't have to be perplexed.

Your bottle is full, and so is your heart.

We can be secure, and our fears depart.

We now can enjoy the freedom, 

and embrace the true meaning of Eden.
