May 21st, 2022: Time for Rest

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."

Life can become so hectic at times. I watched a mother trying to get ready for a camping trip after having a hard week at work. I hope she gets some break at the end. Camping is fun, but it is also tons of work. It is challenging because the forecast implies a rainy weekend.

We can get so busy in life and have no idea what is coming at us and what is going away from us. We need to have time to get away and be with God. Resting means surrendering ourselves to God. There is no more fighting within ourselves. We don't have to explain ourselves. We don't have to worry about what others think. Embrace the love and the presence of God. We just need to learn how to be.
