May 20th, 2022: Guard Your Hearts and Minds

Philippians 4: 6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

More people have suffered from anxiety attacks due to Covid 19 shut down and isolation. Some have experienced a troubling sense of disconnection from others. People want to go out and do something. Some have learned to accept the fact the virus is here to stay. Some are still fearful about it.

When we pray, make sure our hearts are thankful and not resentful. That is when we learn how to pray with expectation and anticipation. Sometimes we pray as if God has no idea what we are going through. God's peace will be present when we are free from ourselves. We will gain a new understanding of where and who we are with God.

Protect our hearts and minds so we might identify with the Heart of God.
