May 18th, 2022: Be at Peace and Dwell in Safety

Psalm 4: 8

"In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."

Peace is what many of us are looking for in life. We want to have peace in our relationships with others. We desire our inner peace while dealing with our internal turmoil. We pray for peace when war breaks out in our world. We seek peace when we try to patch up our human brokenness.

We can only truly rest when we have peace in our relationship with God. We can find that peace in receiving His forgiveness and experiencing our forgiveness towards others. It is the peace that the world will not understand. However, our hearts will be able to embrace that fully when we learn how to live as forgiven people.

So be at peace on this day and trust in the safety we have in the presence of God.
