April 8th, 2022: Truth vs Progress

Truth is a very precious commodity these days.

We have no way of knowing whether the sources of the information we get are okay.

When it comes to the use of information (misinformation), we don't seem to have any barriers.

It won't take long before being bombarded with stuff that has become scarier.

National boundaries don't seem to exist anymore.

We can invade another nation by opening our internet highway doors.

We can influence elections in another land.

We can pretend that we can wash all of that off our hands.

We cry foul that Russia has bought its way to influence our democratic process.

We fail to consider that we have also done so in many other countries in the name of progress.

We cannot demand truth from others knowing there is none within us.

We cannot ask for mercy when we are willing to others under the bus.

Our advancements in science have made life more challenging.

We cannot consider our moral fibre redeeming.

The speed and convenience of Social Media have brought about a new death.

It is the death of our discernment and lack of moral depth.

But we cannot just point our fingers at Facebook and many others.

Search our hearts and know that we have gone spiritually bonker.

Our choice is to map out how we like to go ahead without turning blue.

In some ways, we know that our longing for God remains to be true.

Isaiah 41: 10

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
