April 15th, 2022: Good Friday
Yet, it is hard to stop because of the world's seduction.
We cannot go for a walk without being affected by its manipulation.
Sometimes we look for power in order to control others.
Know that we have failed to understand how our souls can wither.
Sometimes we after power with the hope to further our gain.
We then discover that we are causing so much pain.
Sometimes we long for power as we seek others' acceptance.
Rejection seems to have tremendous dominance.
Sometimes we insist on having the power to protect our rights.
Desperation tends to be the conclusion of that fight.
Sometimes we argue that we have the right to terminate the lives of many.
We cannot bear what we see about ourselves because it is like the mirror image of a mummy.
Now we have a quick view of why Jesus had to die.
It is the battle between us against evil that we know we alone cannot fight.
Surrender ourselves to the power of God's redemption.
It's the best antidote we have for the powerful earthy temptation.
Easter Friday marks that death is dying
We now enter the promise of life everlasting.
Romans 5: 6-10
"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life."
