April 12th, 2022: Betrayal
Nothing hurts us more than a betrayal of someone we trust.
We feel as if a part of our life bites the dust.
Memories become far more painful to remember.
Our light of joy was snuffed out; what was left only amber.
Looking ahead is like walking through the carnage of an emotional tornado.
Anguish and resentment fill our empty hearts; we cannot forgo.
Jesus is not foreign to what we experience in being betrayed.
He had to be content with Judas during His last days.
When Judas was meeting with the Sanhedrin to plan for Jesus' condemnation,
Jesus was busy teaching about The End of The World and its tribulation.
Our life of faith is full of joy and sorrow.
We walk away from God's promise and believe that we own tomorrow.
Tomorrow might never come in the way we anticipate.
Let us pray that the church will wake up before too late.
Matthew 26: 14-16
"Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over."
